We have been in business since 1961. We resonantly went into the portable restroom business. The problem I see most is that when I rent to organizations. Usually large organizations who have home offices. I have a problem getting a check upon delivery. I have always gotten paid. But does anyone have suggestions on how to get them to pay upon delivery. The excuse I get is the check has to written at the home office. I have gotten paid But I usually have to make phone calls for a couple weeks after the event.:)

Tell them in advance that you won't set the toilets unless you have a check in your hand at or before time of delivery.

The best way that I have found is to accept credit cards. Most organizations are willing to provide you with this info. If they don't want to be billed by using the credit card, state to them that you will send them a monthly invoice, but get the credit info for security reasons. That way if they don't pay by the invoice, you can apply it to the credit card.

Seems as if everone is have the same problem getting paid...
Be carefull taking a card.. We take them, did a job some time ago on a tank job, husband paid with a credit card.. Wife came home though we'd charged too much and called the card company, had the money transfered back into their account... Never did get paid... Hate to be married to her.. Mean woman...

Is anyone having any luck attaching late charges to bill out jobs..

call them up and find out why they thought it was to high. Listen to there reason. Try to explain your cost to them, do not get short or mad with them. Then either settle for less or take payment or tell them that you will have to take them to small claim's court. I would settle for less and never work for them again.

I just had one here in the UK for 6 weeks worth of work and te company went bust ! same site 1 week later and they were all back working under a new company name but it was still the same crew, so I called the main guy and explained that under legal "Title" the waste still belongs to the producer until it is paid in full and as he had produced it in his previouse company he had still signed the terms and conditions and as such it was his waste not the companys, I told him I still had it all stored in the tank back home and tat unless he paid me $3000 he owed I would load it up and return it to his house as thats were he had given as his address on my terms , e said he would call the cops and I pointed out that this was not random waste but indeed his and he had signed my T&Cs to say so and the cops wouldnt want to no...........in short he crapped himself and paid by credit card, I did not have his T&Cs and I doubt he even signed them anyway but who would take a chance that they did, This is not the first time I have had to use this tactic and it wont be the last. I tell all the new bucks on the block right from the start its your crap until you pay the bill........................then its mine, thatb way we are all clear were we stand
