Can anyone tell me their opinions on the cheapest and easiest way to screen trash from septage waste during land application?

I have a half tank with a screen in it, that half tank set on top of another tank that it drains into. I do it this way so I can lime it at the same time that I screen it.
I have seen pictures of a trailer that you pull behind your truck that has a screen in the bottom that the truck dumps onto. I have been thinking of doing this, but I am have problem finding out what kind of damage the change in PH caused by the lime would do to the tank. I would like to mix lime and water in a tank (like 50 gallons or so) and load it on the truck, then go pump the tank. Once that is done, drive to the application field and hook onto the trailer and apply. But if the lime is too caustic it might destroy the tank. I don't know!

Thanks for replying to my post. I am in the process of making a trailer like the one you are talking about. I did one version of it. It works ok but I am trying to revise it. Is there a way you may have a picture of the one you was talking about? Also most of the time I put the lime in the tank before I leave to go pump. At the pumper convention they said that some people suck the lime into the tank dry. However they said others say that it could damage the pump. From what I understood them to say at the convention, it didn't hurt the truck tank to put the lime in before or after you pump out your tanks. I mix the lime up in a 50 gallon drum before pumping it into the tank.
