I'm trying to promote an idea amongst us wastewater professionals in our industry, and for people interested in learning more about wastewater treatment.

I'm creating a wastewater treatment board game that I thought could be a good mechanism for getting wastewater operators, like myself, and other people in our industry, to network and work together to learn more, to get a little more recognition for what we do, and just make it more interesting in general.

I have a rough draft of the board game in word document, and I thought that if this could be shared amongst other wastewater professionals around the country, and around the world, it could also be a useful tool in recognizing conditions in the plant before they occur and present problems to plant operations. Operators could contribute by either creating scenarios found in their own plant, for troubleshooting, or coming up with multiple choice questions and answers that would be used in the game.

The mechanics of the game are open for ideas and input; our imagination is the only limitation.
We've all played board games to one degree or another, so many different possibilities are known for proceeding through the board.

Let me know your thoughts.

Hi Terry,

Just in the very beginning stages of this. Working in unison with someone from WEF who is making a sludge game online.

Since I am still a newbie in the industry, I would really love to see this concept in act. Im sure it would be a great way to learn. However, I have a feeling that acually "doing it" would be more beneficial.
