Looking to add on the jetting service. Any help/hints is appreciated. I will be using a 5gpm @ 3000psi machine. First question I have is: When running the line through the pipe, do you shut off the water supply before pulling the line back out? I assume you would or all the "crud" would be coming out. But if you don't pull the crud out, do you flush it further downstream? This would be in a resi or commercial type place, not the mains.

With my Vac-Con Combo's (vacuum & jetting) you must leave the water supply on to blast the debris back to you for pickup (vacuum). Mind you, the water supply I'm referring to is from the truck not the water main.

if you are truley jetting the line..leave the water on all the time because once the line in unstopped it should flow to the city main anyway....usually its best to originate flow first and then clean the line properlly...i dont know how well you will be able to clean it with only 5gpm..but give it a shot!!!!......GOOD-LUCK!!!!

Thanks for the info.
Tony, this is for 2-4 inch lines. Do you think more flow will be needed?

..it depends on what you are cleaning...it should be great for residential drains but if you plan on using the jetter for restaurant grease stoppages you may run into a few setbacks....but for residential k/sink drains and residential mainlines you should be o.k.....what brand jetter name is it??
