Looking to purchase a new portable vacuum system to service some remote grease traps and small pump stations. Should have a 40 or 50 gallon tank, good vacuum (say 40 cfm or up), on good wheels, cam-lock offload abilities, etc. Can anyone recommend a good machine for this type of work??

Years ago a guy named Tom Kay out of Colorado manufactured the exact machine you are describing. Hal Reigi with Dyna Vac used to work for Tom at Slurry and he still makes one. I've seen it at past Pumper Shows and he has one at his site - http://www.dynavacequipment.com/prod05.htm. Hal can be reached at 888-298-8668.

Westmoor has also displayed one at the Expo, here is a link to the Conde unit - http://www.westmoorltd.com/Conde-compact.asp or you can contact Robin Hendry at 800-367-0972.

Amazing Machinery in TN makes one that I remember seeing. I found it at the website - http://www.amazingmachinery.com/pump-grease-trap.html

I believe, but I'm not certain, that Chandler Equipment used to make one too, but I can't find any info on it. Here is a link to the Chandler contact info - http://www.chandlerequipment.com/contact.html.

Erickson Truck out of Washington makes on similar to a slide-in restroom service unit that goes in the back of a pick-up truck - http://www.ericksontank.com/trucks/used/Grease-Trap-and-Used-Cooking-Oil-Pumpers.

I'm sure others may make them as well. If you strike out on these or need to research more, I'd start here - http://www.pumper.com/products/view/32/Grease-Handling-Equipment

Hope this helps!
