We are having trouble collecting on some of our accounts. Do any of you have any suggestions on how to collect some of these outstanding accts. Do any of you use a third party collection agency? Many of these accts are small but together they add up. Any suggestions will be helpful.

we use the phone start off nice after 30 day's just a reminder call . then a week later call with alittle more effort . then start sending the letters then affter 3 week's late the final notes . if that does not work go to there home at super time and ask nice. it's your money and you have a family to feed too . i think after awhile you get the feeling who to ask for the money up front . the ones who ask to charge are usaully ok the ones who just take the bill and run are the ones to watch. if you ask for the money up front and thay get up set tell them it not personal just company policy . some times not the best to let them know you're the owner or they start to deal . i like to give every one a chance .but if you screw me i let the other companies know no pay no pump list. it works good sharing with the other guy's reduces the chance of getting riped off . dont forget when they call get all the info on them you can . this works for me
