Me Too, I have been doing Porta john or as there called here in the Uk Portaloos for just over a year and I am getting asked if we can do Septic tanks, as our pumper is designed for loo work its only 250gallon and it a bit small, what size of tuck would be advisable ?

Here in the states (or Oregon at least) most of our septic tanks are 1000 gallons. However some residential systems range in size up to 1500 gallons. If you plan on seriously getting into pumping get a truck big enough to make two or three stops before dumping to make the most of your time.

We have much smaller vehicles here, The normal toilet vehicle is a 1 to pickup with a max weight of 3.5ton before you need an operators licence, and if you exceed 7.5ton you need a class2 HGV licence (Truck licence)
as soon as we go above 3.5 ton we are as wellgoing up to 20/30 ton due to the amount of hassle keeping your paperwork and licence. You guys are lucky with you F350 style pickups on a standard car licence
