While At The Pumper Showi Ran Into The Company That Sells Bio-clean. I Have A Lot Of Customers Ask For A Product To Use In Their Septic Tanks After We Have Serviced Them. Does Anyone Have Any Experince With This Product Or One That Is Better. Thanks For Any Feedback.

I have no experiance with that product but CCLS is really great stuff. Been a dealer for over 20 years. When you call them you talk to the people in charge. Rick has helped me with dosage amounts and the products have restored many failed systems.

I understand the importance of a monthly reminder to your customers, but I have yet to see proof (from an unbiased 3rd party) that any of these chemicals/biologicals actually help the system. In general, I tell folks not to waste their money.
Ultimately, where is the independent, peer-reviewed, professional research supporting each suggested product? The single best thing any septic tank owner can do is to regularly have the tank pumped out.
Here is a link to a list of scientific articles that say septic system additives are not needed and are never a substitute for pumping. http://www.inspect-ny.com/septic/septadds.htm

In a perfect world additives are not needed, but we both know it's not a perfect world and people put bad stuff in the septic tank. That's when the bacteria is benificial. I recomend it on a case by case basis. Not everyone needs it. If you read the brochure that Cape Cod puts out, it also states that there is no replacement for pumping.
