Why don't you have your friend buy the toilets and take care of them, you can just come and pump them out. This would save you having to deal with rental fees, repair to the units, buying supplies, hauling enough water to clean and restock them, etc.. Your pumping fees should be easy to figure.

There is more to taking care of a toilet than pumping it out. For the customer to get what they need, they need a professional service. This ensures that their customers are in turn happy also. Eventually the arrangement will more than likely not work out and he will get someone else to do the work. I would not invest my money it this venture.

99 percent of our work is related to septic systems, but we "pump out only" several potties on a regular basis. We finally decided it was too much of a pain in the butt to keep doing it with a septic truck and so refurbished an older pottie truck. The pottie truck has been great, makes a great high volume source for our sewer jetter, uses less fuel, saves time, and allows us to properly service a pottie. The best part is happy customer.
